For more than 30 years, RY+A, Inc., under the leadership of Architect Richard Yen has continued to serve public and institutional clients, providing professional architecture and planning services. Today, as part of a long-term strategic plan, RY+A has announced that it will be transferring its client base to JSL, Inc., dba RY+AO a Minority/Women-owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) led by Jianshan Liang. Richard Yen will continue to play an active role in RY+AO, collaborating with clients and providing project oversight, while working alongside Ms. Liang from the firm’s office in San Diego. An experienced leader and Registered Architect in the state of California, Ms. Liang has more than twenty years of industry experience. The firm is very confident that her ongoing leadership will provide clients with the high level of service and uninterrupted support that they have come to expect from RY+AO.

Ms. Liang will take over leadership of RY+AO, a strategic partnership formed through RY+A and leading architecture firm AO in 2021. RY+AO has proven to be a valuable vehicle that leverages the strengths of two powerhouse architecture firms, delivering enhanced resources, talent and tools. Moving forward, RY+AO will be capable of servicing federal and institutional clients who seek MBE and/or MWBE service providers in the areas of architecture, planning, design, programming, space planning, seismic upgrades, and more.
